Based during WWII & centring on a lesser-known, yet influential figure of the war, Rudolf Hess & his ill-fated trip to Scotland in 1941. Hess was a member of Hitler's 'inner circle' & was considered his 'right-hand man' at the breakout of the war. Hess crash-landed in a field on May 10th as he attempted to reach the Duke of Hamilton (an acquaintance of Adolf Hitler) & thus end the war a hero. Instead, he spent the rest of his life behind bars.
